Mobile money tips

Step-by-step guides for each wallet: M-Pesa in Kenya, Opay and PalmPay in Nigeria, MTN MoMo in Ghana, mobile money in Tanzania, Vodafone Cash in Egypt.

  • M-Pesa in Kenya and Tanzania: keep the phone unlocked when you press Deposit. The STK prompt expires after about a minute.
  • MTN MoMo in Ghana: if the approval prompt does not appear, dial the MoMo menu and approve the pending payment manually.
  • Opay and PalmPay in Nigeria: make sure the wallet tier allows the amount you are sending.
  • Vodafone Cash in Egypt: use the number linked to your own ID. Transfers from another person's wallet are rejected.

Paying with crypto

Crypto is the most universal option: it works the same in every country and has high limits. Pick the coin and the network carefully. USDT, for example, exists on TRON, BSC, Ethereum and other chains. Sending it on the wrong network can lose the funds. The deposit address is shown with a QR code, and the balance is credited after the required network confirmations, typically a few minutes.

Deposits must come from accounts in your own name. Payments from relatives or friends are a common reason for delayed withdrawals.

GreenBet does not store full card numbers or mobile money PINs. Confirmation always happens on the provider side, in your banking app or on your phone.
